| Founded in 2004, Greenproofing, Inc., was established as the social enterprise arm of the Environmental Engineering and Entrepreneurship Program (EEP) at The City College of New York. At first, the organization was an interdisciplinary program of the departments of Civil Engineering and Economics & Management departments that were funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), to create a working business model, run by undergraduates of the college.

It was a pioneering venture of combining engineering and economic research, siphoning their knowledge and talents in creating a working social enterprise portfolio that will provide services for the neighboring community. |
